Two doctors, one procedure room, and consultation types that are not the same length.
Overview
A clinic diary is not a salon diary with different words in it. Consultation types are genuinely different lengths, a doctor’s session has a fixed end that patients overrun into, and the procedure room is usually the constraint that decides the whole afternoon.
The day below is a two-doctor practice, drawn to scale from the same engine as the salon demo with a different configuration. That is the point of showing both: the rules are not specific to hairdressing, they are what scheduling people against shared rooms actually requires.
One real day, drawn to scale
Every bar below is a booking, and every colour is a different resource being held. This is the picture ordinary booking software cannot draw, because it models one appointment as one block of one person's time.

Appointments are not the same length
Follow-up review takes 10 minutes and Minor procedure takes 65. A diary built on uniform slots either wastes the short ones or overruns on the long ones.

Not everyone can do everything
Dr Parakh does not do minor procedure. Offering a slot with someone who cannot deliver it does not save a phone call, it adds one.

Equipment is shared, and counted
There is one procedure room. Two people can both be free at three o'clock and still be unable to take two clients, which is the conflict systems that check only staff availability will book straight through.

Dead time is not free time
During minor procedure the room is occupied and the person is not. Booking something into that gap is how the day pays for itself, and a model with one duration per service cannot express it.
