Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Vikalp Development collects through vikalpdevelopment.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It was last updated in August 2026.

What we collect, and when
We only collect information you type into a form. There is no account to create on this site and nothing is collected in the background beyond the analytics described further down.
When you send a project enquiry (from the contact page or the estimate page) we receive your name, email address, phone number, company name, the budget and timeline you selected, the capabilities you ticked, and whatever you wrote in the message field.
When you apply for a job we receive your name, email address, phone number, the role you applied for, a portfolio link if you gave one, your message, and the CV file you uploaded.
Our web server also keeps standard access logs, which include the IP address and browser making the request. These are ordinary hosting logs, not something we analyse.
Why we hold it
To reply to you. A project enquiry is held so we can answer it and follow it up; an application is held so we can consider you for the role and get back to you. We do not use either for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
Who else sees it
A short list, and no one beyond it:
- Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its database.
- Our email provider, because enquiries and applications are also emailed to us.
- Google Analytics, which measures site usage. See the cookie policy for detail.
- Akismet, an anti-spam service run by Automattic, which checks submissions to tell real enquiries from spam.
We do not run advertising on this site, and no advertising or profiling network receives your information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and applications are kept while they are live and afterwards as a record of who we have spoken to. CV files are kept for the hiring round they were sent for, and longer only if you tell us you would like to be considered for future roles. If you want yours removed sooner, ask and we will remove it.
What you can ask us to do
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us what personal data of yours we hold, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to erase it. If you are in the EU or UK, the equivalent rights under the GDPR apply, including the right to receive a copy of your data in a portable form.
Write to support@vikalpdevelopment.com and we will action it. We do not charge for this, and we will not ask you to justify the request.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Uploaded CVs are checked by file type and size before they are accepted, and are not publicly listed anywhere on the site. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise: if we ever became aware of a breach affecting your information, we would tell you.
Children
This is a business website. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
