A national certification programme, delivered as software

The IAP-PHO Certification Programme in Thalassemia Diagnosis and Management trains paediatricians and healthcare professionals across India against national guidelines - screening, diagnosis, transfusion care, chelation, counselling, complication management and long-term follow-up. Its participants are working clinicians. Any design that assumed a free afternoon would have failed.

What we built

  • Self-paced modules, not a course schedule: sixteen and counting, each completable between clinics, because a paediatrician cannot attend at a fixed hour.
  • Assess and certify, not just deliver: the platform runs the assessment and issues the certificate, so the credential is produced by the system rather than administered by hand.
  • Staged access with registration: the portal and the first module unlock on successful registration, which keeps a guideline-based clinical programme accountable to who is actually taking it.
  • The clinical authority made visible: the PHO President’s message, the manual introduction and the account of how the guidelines were made sit on the landing page - for a medical credential, the provenance is the product.

The result

A custom platform carrying a national paediatric certification end to end - enrolment, sixteen-plus modules, assessment and certificate issuance - entirely online and self-paced, in service of a Thalassemia-free India.
